The 4th Grade podcasting project about the U.S. Constitution is coming along well. Most teams have been in the studio at least once our twice to record and now they are editing and adding sound effects. These projects should be done my mid March.

Over the next four weeks all 2nd and 3rd grade students will take Internet Safety courses from the Professor Garfield website. Kids love this site and learn a lot about being safe online. Website Link

The winter break has been great, I was able to take some time to read some new books about students and technology as research for the new book that I am writing. However, I am now ready to back at school and teaching my students. 5th grade is about to get started on their documentary project and I am very excited to see

Thanks to the money we get from DVD sales and the generousity of the PTO we have been able to buy seven new USB microscopes. These microscopes will hook up to our laptops and allow for more collaborative work between students.

You will see that I have added a new link on my sidebar to Student Websites. Fifth grade is now starting to blog on their own websites.

The fourth grade classes have now received their assignments and they are off and running with their US Constitution project to make a podcast. Each team has four students and will have to research their assigned subject and write a script
